How I debug

I find the fault that was missed, and fix the cause instead of the symptom.

the delay that was missing 1.52 ms

Every command in the FPGA display driver had been given the same 50 µs settle window. Clear Display needs 1.52 ms, about forty times longer. That is why the first characters of a line would sometimes vanish.

R² from predicting nothing changes 0.98

On our reactor data, a model that just says "the temperature stays the same" already scores R² above 0.98. The reactor heats slowly and we sample every half second. So a high score meant very little, and I judged every neural network against that no-change baseline instead.

software failsafes trusted 0

A tank controller can always be wrong: one bad echo, one loose wire, and the software is confidently flooding a room. So I plumbed the overflow to drain away from the electronics. If the code gets it wrong, the water still ends up somewhere harmless.

Experience

Sep 2026 - Present
Teaching, Workshops, Community
President
AITM IoT Club, Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management
  • Named first president of the IoT Club when the ECE department launched it. The launch was covered in local press.
  • Main coordinator of Arduino 101, the club's first workshop: two batches of about 30 first-year students, working in pairs on sensors and circuits.
  • Rated 4.48/5 overall across 56 feedback responses, and 4.75/5 for the help students got when a circuit didn't work.
Jul 2026 - Present
Machine learning, Control systems, FPGA
Research Intern
Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT Manipal)
  • Surveying deployment of physics-informed neural networks to FPGA hardware: fixed-point quantisation, tensor compression against limited LUT, DSP and BRAM budgets, and the High-Level Synthesis path from a trained network to RTL.
  • Leading a team of six modelling a jacketed stirred-tank reactor: ANN, LSTM and CNN models compared against persistence, linear and ARX baselines on three lab recordings.
  • Showed that predicting no change already reaches R² 0.98 on this data, and that no network beat a linear fit by more than about 0.002 °C.
Jun - Jul 2026
Firmware, Soldering, Closed-loop control
Embedded / IoT Intern
Adsafe Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru
  • Built the controller for a Smart Mushroom Grow Box on an ESP8266: temperature, humidity and air-quality sensing driving a Peltier cooler, fans and an ultrasonic humidifier under hysteresis-based setpoint control.

  • Wrote the firmware and control logic, assembled and hand-soldered the hardware, then tested and debugged the whole system end to end. Working prototype delivered in a 14-day sprint (30 Jun - 13 Jul 2026).
  • IoT environmental monitoring: a local OLED readout plus a Wi-Fi dashboard served from the board.
  • Other project details remain confidential at the company's request.
2024 - Present
Board-level diagnosis, Rework
Freelance Electronics Repair & PC Building
Self-employed
  • Diagnosed and repaired 10+ consumer devices at board level with a multimeter and oscilloscope: PCs, gaming controllers, displays and home electronics.
  • Upgraded an Xbox Series X controller to TMR joystick modules, so the drift can't come back.

Beyond the lab

I run the college IoT Club, and most of what it does is get first-years building their first circuits.

About

Final-year Electronics and Communication Engineering student, and a research intern at Manipal Institute of Technology working on neural networks on FPGA hardware. What I enjoy most is the part where the hardware pushes back: a timing limit, a pin that can't drive what you hoped, and working out a way around it.
